Goderich, Ontario

Originally constructed of Maitland River stone, the historic Livery Theatre has evolved from harness shop, to livery stable, to automobile dealership. Sidestepping its slated demolition, the building centre was developed as a community arts centre in 1983.

Restoration work was undertaken, subsequent to findings in a roofing and masonry report. Large ridge flashings were removal and reinstalled. Cupolas were disassembled for repair/replacement of flashings; lead-coated copper coppings were installed over the decorative west parapet and localized masonry repairs and repointing were completed.
