2009, Goderich, ON
The Goderich Town Hall was renovated and an addition was added to improve delivery of municipal services and to provide barrier-free accessibility throughout. Renovations to the interior of the existing building liberated congested work areas and rejuvenated the entire interior space. The project incorporate numerous “green” initiatives, including geothermal heating and cooling. Care was taken to enhance and compliment the historic Post Office building in which the Goderich Town Hall is now located, and the renovation and addition were done in accordance with the Ontario Heritage Trust Easement and the West Street Heritage District Plan.
