Blyth, ON
The design, bidding, and construction of the Blyth Festival Harvest Stage were initiated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which restricted indoor performances due to social distancing requirements. The Harvest Stage is a unique venue created to bring performances outdoors, connecting the Blyth Festival more directly to the community and the surrounding landscape that inspires its work.
The Harvest Stage is a permanent, open-air, fully accessible amphitheatre featuring a thrust stage with audience seating on three sides. The amphitheatre includes partially shaded seating areas, as well as a new access road serving the stage and the surrounding landscape. The performance stage is located at the north end of the existing fairgrounds site.
